Aaron Miller


Aaron Miller (M.M. Jazz Performance and Pedagogy, University of Colorado, B.A. Music, Boise State University) began teaching Double Bass and Jazz Studies at BYU-Idaho in 2008. A bassist adept in any style, Aaron has performed throughout the United States and Canada. Selected jazz performances include appearances with Art Lande, Mark Levine, Lew Soloff, Vic Juris, Jamey Aebersold, Brad Goode, Clayton Cameron, Bill Mays, and Marvin Stamm. In 2004, Aaron Miller toured with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. He has adjudicated and given clinics at the Gene Harris and Intermountain Jazz Festivals with multiple appearances at each. Aaron has also served on the Red Lodge Music Festival faculty since 2011. Aaron has performed in many professional musical productions including appearances with the Boise Shakespeare Festival, the Colorado Lite Opera, and the second national tour of The Producers. Of his more recent engagements, Aaron has appeared at the Grand Teton Music Festival in 2011. Starting his doctoral studies at Northwestern University in 2012, Miller anticipates completing the degree in 2014.
